Puppy cupcake decorations.

I saw these on a magazine.  They were super cute so I decided to try them.

This was for a party with young children so I adjusted the look a little.  While the ones on the magazine were amazing, I didn’t want to hand something to a 3 year old that they’d have to unwrap twice.

Cupcake Theif

Unwrapped Mini Cupcakes

So instead of decorating a full sized cupcake and placing a mini wrapped and iced cupcake on top I cooked the minis without the paper and cut them in half to make the snout.

Extra Mini Cupcakes

I ended up with a few leftover mini cupcakes but they were not hard to dispose of.

Yummy Icing

Irresistible Icing

I also had lots of helpers to eliminate the extra icing.  As you can see here I used the  Wilton tip #233 to create the hairy look on the pups.

Small PupCake

Cute and yummy

I used mini marshmallows and chocolate chips for the tongue, ears, and eyes.  Then I used colored fondant for the noses.
